Royal Delft, established in 1653, is the last remaining Delft Blue factory from the 17th century that still produces handmade and hand painted Delft earthenware according to centuries old tradition. The skilled craftsmen that work at Royal Delft have years of experience and knowledge. This knowledge has been passed on from generation to generation whilst young painters were trained by their more experienced colleagues. The tradition of training painters in this manner is still used to this very day. The combination of experienced and knowledgeable master painters result in the high quality of Delft Blue that is unique to Royal Delft.
