At the Craft in Focus Festival Koko NYC will offer a free opportunity for kids and interested adults to try their hand at boat building! We will bring a jig to define the shape of the boat along with materials that kids can use to build around it.
Koko NYC’s mission is to empower kids to see potential all around them, to see their own ideas to fruition and to make connections between art and science. The use of re-purposed materials as the foundation of Koko’s building supplies engenders environmental awareness as well as a spirit of innovation. Kids learn to see “trash” as an opportunity to create something new.
